Red Pumps x A Noble Cause

The Red Pump Project-an awesome initiative created by 2 fabulous bloggers, Luvvie & Karyn. The Red Pump Project was put into place to increase awareness of the impact of HIV/AIDS on women & girls & encourage women everywhere to take action. So my folks here in Atlanta I say we all meet up for Thirsty Tuesday's @ M Bar on Peter Street around 8pm and show our support. Brooks' Loves the New Jackie (Gucci)

O.k a little insight about me, I have been shopping and having fashion conversations with Brooks (my best good friend) since 1996 when we were both freshman. Actually I think we kept the Dover Mall in business for a few years.

Well anyways now she lives in the Metro DC area, and I live here in Atlanta. We still chop it up about our fashion finds via phone, email, text, or whatever often and sometimes for hours.

Brooks' latest lust, is 'The New Jackie" Gucci bag pictured above. At last update today sometime today around 1:30 pm (est) she confirmed she was throwing caution to the wind (must be nice , right) and buying it. I guess she felt it was her civic duty to stimulate the economy. Brooks we American's salute you. lol.

What do you guys think, is this the "It Bag" she is looking for? I think so (just my opinion)

Weekend What the What: Karl Leezy

Yo, ok if you didn't know two of my favorite things are hip-hop and fashion (in that order) so pairing the two is great anytime I can get it. That's why I was so excited about that the Sprouse line this season, its so hip-hop.

Anyways, I was browsing the fashion section over at fellow blogger's site WWW.WOOHA.COOM and came across this pic of the homie K.L ( Karl Lagerfeld) sporting BBC and stating that he loves rap (Im thinking me too, I knew I had things in common with great designers lol). This would be a nothing thing if we didn't always see K.L in the basic black on black with the white collar. It was dope to see him step away from the norm.

Ok, so you really wanted to be a part of this whole Stephen Sprouse thing that has taking over this spring, but your like me you don't have disposable income so......in comes Patricia Fields of Sex and the City (she did all of the killer outfits) fame to save you.

Sure, its not Louis Vuitton but it is Sprouse like. Similar colors and the 80's are in full effect, but will is help satisfy your urge for the big ticket Louie items? Just wanted to get your opinion.

So, just as I start getting excited that people are reading here at DtailO and commenting as well, I have began to get reports that my comments are disabled. This not on purpose. I am having some major layout revamping done, and for now we will assume that the comment problem is a result of that.

McQ hits Target Today : Atlanta dont get your hopes up

Target will be hosting Alexander McQueen's McQ line for the next little bit starting today. It however is not a part of its Go International line. McQ will be a launch pad for a new kind of collaboration at Target.

The designer wear is slated to be available March 4th 2009. For most of you that is a good thing, however if you live in Atlanta Ga. (like I do) you may not want to sit on 285 in traffic to get there.

For the last two cycles of the Go International line Target's buyer didn't see fit to include ATL. Leaving you to have to go online to take advantage for the collaboration.

Payless is Cool, or so I hear

Last Thursday in my Question Post, I asked about Christian Siriano's shoes.
The shoes will be sold in Payless shoe stores. I inquired would anyone wear them due to where they were being sold. I have a clear and definitive answer, yes.
Don't get me wrong I think the shoes are hot (third pair top row, nice!), and I am not saying that I doubt you gals, but I will believe it when I see you in them. They hit store fall of this year with a price range of $25-$45. You can't beat that.

Each of us has triggers, and they come in the form of people places and things. They are tempting and often times things we know are wrong though we wish they were right. The danger comes in the tolerance towards them, as they are typically small to start with, but often lead to large hardship and pain. You have to distance yourself from these things even when they appear small, because they undoubtedly will lead to trouble. Discipline towards your destination is being able to avoid those people places and things to stay off of that slippery slope. This will without a doubt take prayer, and supplication. Turn to your God when temptation seems to be too much even in things that are small.
